Asahel Curtis was a commercial photographer famed for his images of the scenery, cities, transportation, and industry of the Pacific Northwest. He is also the brother of better known Edward Curtis, who made his fame on photographing the native tribes of North America. The Washington State Archives holds numerous colored photos made by Asahel in the early 20th Century, and this story from NPR explores them and includes samples.
